Preparation:
Place a pot with 4 cups of distilled water over medium high heat. Bring to a simmer and add the herb filled muslin bag. Allow it to simmer for about 1 hour uncovered. The mixture will reduce to about half. Remove the pot from the heat and allow it to cool to room temperature. Squeeze excess liquid from the bag. Add about a 1/2 cup of your desired sweetener (we recommend you use local honey). Store your elderberry syrup in a sterile glass jar with a lid and refrigerate. Prepared elderberry syrup can be refrigerated for up to 3 months.
Suggested Dosage:
Children: Ages 2 and up: 1/2 - 1 tsp twice a day to boost immunity.
Adults: 1 Tblsp twice a day to boost immunity.
